In Portugal, the estimated mortality for prostate cancer is 39.7 per 100,000, making prostate cancer mortality in Portugal higher than the EU27 average of 32.1 per 100,000.1 Mortality rates for prostate cancer in neighbouring Spain are much lower at 25.7 per 100,000.1
